Acne Types

The acne contains the a small red dot to large, pus-filled cysts. There are various types of the acne and some of them are nodules, cystic acne, acne vulgaris, acne rosacea. The acne appears in the areas of your skin with the largest number of functional oil glands.

The acne is a general skin condition. The acne scratch can seen like in the form of papules, pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. Acne starts in a same way for all but can take various forms. This can react in a one way according to the body conditions of the individual.

Different types of acne

The acne contains the mainly two types and they are non-inflammatory acne and inflammatory acne.

  • Non-inflammatory acne

The non-inflammatory acne is depends on the whitehead and blackhead. The non-inflammatory acne is also contains the two types and they are closed comedo and open comedo. The non-inflamed acne breakouts consist of microcomedones, blackheads, and milia. The symptoms of non-inflamed acne is bumps on the skin. The non-inflamed acne may progress to inflamed acne. In the non-inflammatory acne comedoes are not infected with the bacteria.

  1. Closed comedo - This is also known as whiteheads. The closed comedones are small, flesh-colored bumps. They are caused by follicles containing a plug of sebum and keratinous debris. They are invisible to the naked eye.
  2. Open comedo - This is also known as blackheads. The blackheads are small and always flat spots with black centres. The exposed black surface of the plug is caused by the skin’s natural dark pigment melanin. The blackheads can last for a long time because the contents very slowly drain to the surface.
  • Inflammatory acne

The inflamed acne is caused by redness and inflammation. The inflammatory acne is contains the various stages of the developement of the acne. The inflammatory acne is commonly seen in everywhere. This is appears in the teenagers and have started puberty persons. The symptoms of the inflamed acne include redness, swelling, and irritation of the skin, along with possible crusting, scabbing of the lesions. And these stages are pustule, cyst, acne conglobata and papule. Cystic acne is the most serious form of inflamed acne. The inflamed acne causes the risk for skin damage and scarring. The symptoms of inflammatory acnes are papules, pustules and nodules. In the inflammatory acne the comedoes are infected with bacteria which causes an inflammatory response by the body’s immune system.

  1. Papules - The papule is a raised lesion which is about one-half inch. The papules develop in the inner follicular wall.
  2. Pustules - These are small round lesions that are inflamed and contain visible pus. Once the blood fills into the papules then papules will develop into pustules. The pustule is generally known as a zit or pimple.
  3. Cyst - These are the are nodules filled with fluid, often pus.
  4. Acne conglobata - This is a rarely seen acne which is occur on the back, buttocks, and chest.
